PURPOSE - Why do we exist?

Pray the Bay is Coalition of Northern California Pastors and Leaders Uniting Northern California Churches and Ministries For Local and Regional Transformation.  Pray the Bay exists to serve the greater Body of Christ in Northern California by being a catalyst and coordinating influence for unity in our region.

VISION - What do we see?

OUR VISION
The Vision of Pray the Bay is to reclaim God’s redemptive purpose for the Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area.  God has created this region with an awesome anointing to influence the rest of the world.  The Enemy has used hijacked these channels of influence to export many ideologies and movements that have brought great harm to people around the world. We believe that God is empowering his Church to bring forth a great awakening in northern California and to reclaim these channels of influence to bring the blessings of revival  to other regions on a global scale (more “link” from Privilege Statement).  This vision is rooted in three essential values that help to guide all we do.

MISSION - What do we do to get what we  see?

OUR VALUES
The first of these values is UNITY. Throughout the scripture, the power  and blessing of unity are celebrated and affirmed. There is probably not a stronger endorsement of unity than from Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21, “ that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me.” While we affirm the importance of the unity of the universal Church and the local church, we also recognize that there is a need for unity to be expressed on a regional level as well. The communities of the Bay Area are deeply interconnected. What happens in one community affects the other. Even the political system has acknowledged the need for regional cooperation between law enforcement, BART and other regional efforts. We believe there is a great blessing to be gained from leveraging regional unity for local fruitfulness. Pray the Bay is committed to fostering regional unity for the spiritual transformation of our local communities.

The Second value we hold is that of PRAYER as a primary expression of our unity. With the guidance of God’s will declared in scripture and with the Holy Spirit’s specific leadership we believe that prayer is the true foundation of all fruitfulness in Christ. Jesus said that if two or three would agree as touching anything, it shall be done. Without prayer, the good ideas and sacrificial efforts of well-intentioned believers will come to nothing. However, if we keep the value of prayer as a key priority, we believe that God will overthrow the evil spiritual forces that are over our region and release the blessings of the Kingdom of God in every area of life. Pray the Bay is dedicated to promoting unified prayer throughout our region.

The third value of Pray the Bay is COLLABORATION. The New Testament describes the Church as the Body of Christ. Each member is distinct and different but each is created to be interdependent upon the other. As this is true on a local church level, this is also true of the Regional Church. Each congregation has a unique emphasis and expression of the heart of God. As we join our hearts in unity of vision and collaboration, a greater and more complete expression of the Body of Christ occurs. Pray the Bay is committed to facilitating and coordinating regional expressions of outreach and prophetic activism.
