SCRIPTURE

Isaiah 12:3

“With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”

 DEVOTIONAL

Desperation does not end in exhaustion, it leads to joy.

After days of thirst, crying out, repentance, and returning to the source, God reminds us of this truth: salvation is not heavy, it is joyful. The wells we draw from are not shallow or temporary. They are deep, living, and overflowing.

Isaiah tells us that joy is not separate from salvation, it flows from it. When we remember what Jesus has done, who He is, and what He’s given us, joy rises again. Strength is restored. Hope returns.

As we close Phase 2: Desperation, today marks a shift. We are no longer just longing, we are drawing. And we draw with joy, because the well is full and it never runs dry.

PRAYER

by Brandon | Pastor at NEWSONG Church

“Jesus, thank You for the gift of salvation the Living Water that never runs dry.

Today, we ask that joy would rise again in Your people across the Bay.

For those who are weary, discouraged, or thirsty in their souls, draw us back to the well of Your goodness and grace.

Holy Spirit, make joy the mark of Your church and the sound of our witness.

May the way we live, speak, and love point others to the depth of salvation found in You.

Fill our hearts with gladness. Restore strength.

Let joy overflow from Your presence into every home and every street in this region.

In Jesus’ name, amen.”

REFLECTION + INVITATION

Pause today and reflect:

  • Where has joy faded in my faith?

  • What happens when I return to the well of salvation?

  • How might joy become my witness to others?

Joy is not something we manufacture… it flows from the salvation we receive.

Draw again today.
