SCRIPTURE

Ephesians 5:26

“That he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.”

 DEVOTIONAL

Overflow is sustained by purity.

As God fills us and pours His Spirit through us, He also invites us to be continually washed and renewed by His Word. Living Water does not only refresh, it cleanses, shapes, and forms us into who we are meant to be.

Ephesians reminds us that the Word of God is not just instruction; it is transformation. As we submit ourselves to Scripture, God uses it to correct us, train us, and restore what has grown weary or distorted along the way.

In this phase of Drinking → Overflow, God is not only filling us, He is preparing us. Clean vessels carry Living Water further.

PRAYER

“That He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word.”

Lord, today we pray that Your church would humbly submit itself to the Word of God.

We ask that the Word inspired and God-breathed would teach us, rebuke us, correct us, and train us in righteousness.

Grow our hunger for all of Your Word the whole counsel of God.

Make us like Ezra, committed to studying, teaching, and submitting ourselves to Your Word.

As we read, remind us that You are not just instructing us, You are changing us, forming us, and renewing us.

In Jesus’ name, amen.”

• Am I allowing God’s Word to shape me?

• Where do I need cleansing or correction?

• How can I submit more fully to Scripture?
